Overview
What does the integration offer?
Jira Service Management acts as a dispatcher for Graylog alerts, determines the right people to notify based on on-call schedules, notifies via email, text messages (SMS), phone calls, and iPhone & Android push notifications, and escalates alerts until they’re acknowledged or closed.
How does the integration work?
When an alert is created in Graylog, an alert is also created in Jira Service Management automatically through the integration.
Set up the integration
Graylog is an API-based integration. Setting it up involves the following steps:

If you're using the Free or Standard plan in Jira Service Management, you can only add this integration from your team’s operations page. To access the feature through Adding an integration from your team’s operations page makes your team the owner of the integration. This means Jira Service Management only assigns the alerts received through this integration to your team. |
To add a Graylog integration in Jira Service Management:
Go to your team’s operations page.
On the left navigation panel, select Integrations and then Add integration.
Run a search and select “Graylog”.
On the next screen, enter aname for the integration.
Optional: Select a team in Assignee team if you want a specific team to receive alerts from the integration.
Select Continue.
The integration is saved at this point.Expand the Steps to configure the integration section and copy the Webhook URL generated for your account.
You will use this URL while configuring the integration in Graylog later.Select Turn on integration.
The rules you create for the integration will work only if you turn on the integration.
Configure the integration in Graylog
In your Graylog account, go to Alerts from the main menu.
On the New Notifications page, select Notifications.
Enter a Title and a Description for the channels you want to set notifications for.
Select HTTP notification as a type.
Paste your integration URL (copied while adding the integration in Jira Service Management) into the URL field.
Select Create and save the changes.
Select Event Definition.
Enter values for Event Details, Condition, and Fields to create the notification rules.
In Notifications, select the notification you created earlier.
From this point on, incoming Graylog notifications matching the rules of that notification will be redirected to Jira Service Management as alerts. You can customize this integration and define how Jira Service Management should manage the alert flow by adding more rules. Learn more about the integration framework.
